Real Graduate
Margi Brown Ash – Master of Counselling

‘The lecturers in the Master of Counselling really ‘walked their talk’. They welcomed diversity. They provided practical and theoretical integration of the course’s therapeutic approach in the QUT Psychology and Counselling Clinic. This provided me with hands-on training, which is absolutely ideal for building a career which is not just about therapy - it’s about life.’

QUT’s master of counselling is ideal for both professionals and students in the fields of health, education, counselling, or organisational and community services who are keen to develop innovative individual and family therapy skills for a specialised position in counselling and related services.

The course is offered on a flexible three-year, part-time evening basis. It provides a strong practical component and students will have the opportunity to utilise the QUT Health Clinics purpose-built Psychology and Counselling facility for clinical practice.
