We will learn Balinese dance, we will work with Mask, we will have the opportunity to have our own masks made by world leading mask makers, we will see astonishing performances and we will live together in paradise.

We work from 7am through till evening, followed by dinner and performance.

Master teacher Per Brahe will be working with you using his ever expanding collection of masks, helping you explore archetypes and sub personalities; providing you tools to create unique and energetic work.  As a result of his work, you will have a deeper understanding of how you work both in  group and solo,  and the tools to create innovative work.

Margi Brown Ash, a psychotherapist, academic and theatre maker,  will be helping you consolidate the transformational processes that Per will share,  as well as providing opportunities to consider what you want to achieve in 2010;  how to stay in the creative flow despite the pressures of every day life, and how to stay healthy in an industry that is highly demanding and competitive.

Process Acting Classes can provide two opportunities: working on your own material as well as working on your monologues in a unique and simple way.  If you are planning on auditioning for drama schools, this way of working helps you relax into the process and find ways of presenting YOU, which is what all drama schools want to see: they are looking for YOU.

Process Acting at 4change, October-November, 2010

Please consider attending Process Acting Classes, to begin in October, 2009 at Metro Arts.

Tentatively the times will be 1pm-4pm Tuesdays; 4-7pm Thursdays.

The Tuesday class has been doing process acting for ten weeks. Thursday’s group is a mixed group with some long-timers and some new people.  you are very welcome to join.  The tuition is very personal and strength based. The classes are small.  Members are trained to be collaborative and supportive.  We use a framework known as appreciative inquiry under a social constructionist umbrella, investigating the strengths of the individuals.  We work on our own material, gently creating a performance piece that is representational of our personal journey in the world. Sometimes people start with their own story and then pass it through their imagination to encompass a universal theme.  Some participants are creating work for Too High Festival, Under the Radar Fringe Festival, Creative Development Programs, Emerge programs, Short and Sweet Festival, fringe and personal work.

Please come and see if it is what works for you. YOu are welcome to do a ‘test’ run.
