to go to a gallery
to be influenced
affected
stimulated
not just by what is on the wall
but
the feel of the floor underneath your shoes
the shaft of light into the gallery
the blackness of the viewing room
the glass lift
the vast variety of artists
all these things can change the way i perceive the world
and when i return to my writing
i am changed in some way
