some lovely things happening yesterday, with SC and TA in the room…we are talking musical sounds, we are talking the importance of language, we are talking ‘doing’ rather than ‘telling’ we are talking multiple levels, colour, space, time…everything one would expect to discuss we are, in such a collaborative and open manner. we ate lunch together at Verve (love that place, downstairs at Metro…don’t expect to lose weight there!) and finished the day with plans for tomorrow (today now!)…we will thicken musical score ideas, i will now write, reshape and have something ready to show DM and TA when we meet today at Pullenvale…Anzac Day is too busy and too merry in the city…particularly the proximity of The Victory Hotel and the Sue Benner Theatre (right next door to each other!).
This image (below) was taken walking up the hill in Santa Fe, New Mexico a few weeks ago…a gem of a name, and it reminds me of Metro Arts and the Work-in-Residence program, with the generous, most talented Kieran Swan keeping us all on track, gently yet with firmness that keeps us moving forward.
