Some people do not like these sort of celebration days: “why do we need to celebrate when we should be acknowledging our mothers on a daily basis”…I am someone who loves these special days, because it provides me an opportunity today to reflect on mothering in multiple forms: yes we have the mother within the family, and we also have the archetypal mother in our organisations. Happy Mothers Day to all of you who nurture, who mentor, who spend time helping grow people and things…our world is a rich one thanks to you all. In my own life, there are many women who enrich the environment in which I live, at work and at home, both here and overseas, women who put the needs of others before their own and who spend hours making sure things work to their capacity. Thank you women. You know who you are.
